Overview
Toyota discontinued the Toyota Innova Crysta diesel last year. And only petrol is to be sold. However, Innova’s main selling point is its powerful diesel engine. So many of its loyal customers have been switching to other brand products like TATA Safari, Mahindra (Scorpio and XUV 700), MG Hector Plus, Hundai Alcazar, and so on. The demand for Innova Crystal Petrol is dwindling by the day. So for that, Toyota launched a new petrol hybrid product under the badge name “Legendary Innova” as the Innova Hycross. The Innova Hycross is a monocoque, whereas the Innova Crysta is a ladder-on-frame chassis.
Innova Petrol vs Innova Diesel
To meet the demand for Innova Crysta’s smooth and punchy diesel engines, Toyota once again introduces the Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel 2023 with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Turbo diesel engine that produces 150 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The 2.7-liter petrol engine has been discontinued this time. The MPV will only come with a 5-speed manual; no 6-speed automatic will be available. The car will meet BS6 Phase II RDE standards.
