In year 2022-23, many new cars were launched, and many automobile manufacturers launched many cars in India. Most of them are SUVs and crossovers. Maruti Suzuki Along with Toyota’s launch of three new products, five new generations, and two facelifts, Kia launched two new products: one electric and another Maruti Suzuki ertiga rival, the Kia Carens. Jeep introduced the Meridian, an extended version of the Compass, by stretching its platform. The next-generation Compass was a hot item on the market with little response.
Skoda had launched the next-generation Slavia and the Kodiaq facelift, respectively, with sales figures of 2,056 and 101.
Citroen had launched the C3 and C5 Aircross with sales figures of 812 and 32, respectively. Volkswagen Virtus was the only product from the company with sales of 1,544, which is quite good if we compare it to previous products’ sales figures. Same with BYD and MG; both of them launch only one product each, with BYD launching a fresh new product and MG launching a facelift of Astor.
Both Hyundai and Mahindra launched two new products each. The new Mahindra XUV400 EV is a new product that competes with the Tata Nexon EV and the next-generation Scorpio, or “big daddy” from Mahindra. One of the most promising products in any automobile market comes from an Indian brand. With the booking of One Less One Day and because of the shortage of chips in the international market, Mahindra is not able to deliver products on time, which is why the sales figure was only 5,348 for the new Scorpio N 2023.
Hyundai introduced the next-generation Tuscon and the Hyundai Venue facelift, with the latter selling 10,059 units.
For the time being, Honda’s only product is the Honda City Pure Hybrid, with the next-generation WRV and mid-size SUV for Hyundai Creta rivals set to launch this year in Mid.
Tata launched Nexon EV Max and Tiago, which were existing products but launched with Max Powertrain technology.
